The Present Status of the Philippine - Something To Emulate With

Each and every single nation in the whole wide world has its own national status whether political, economical, etc. But as a whole or something in general, the national status of a certain state is somewhat that have to look forward to. The status of a country greatly affects the visual taste of a citizen of other countries. Here in the Philippines as the one that had been called as the “Pearl of the Orient Seas”, a question is being inquired: is the engraved title of the Philippines worthy enough to be designated to a third world nation? Maybe other countries behind the Philippines or within the Pacific should be entitled with the said namesake.

First of all, Philippines at the present is suffering from economic crisis. The reason for this are: poverty – many Filipinos nowadays are undergoing on the process of crawling and pecking. What I mean is, the poor and the needy Filipinos have the hard time to earn money for their families and to search something that their homes(families) can be taken in order for them to survive. It’s liked just the saying, “isang kahig, isang tuka”. Another is graft and corruption – several politicians are putting the people’s cavans in their wide pockets in a sense that the taxes coming from us are spent not for the sake and progress of the Philippines but for the pleasure and extravagance of government officials. Lastly, natural calamities – Filipinos especially from the provinces are devastated by the calamities that occur like earthquake, whether tectonic or volcanic, volcanic eruption and floods as well. So, these are the factors that cause the economic status of the Philippine to decline.

Secondly, we’re also suffering from military problems and rebellions not only with the Armed Forces of the Philippines but conscientiously with the Abu Sayyaf groups, the President ordered that these groups should be in a way exterminated. These groups have their own principle that they are fighting for wherein on the side of the government, their principles could not be considered behind the reason that their principles are not humane and they are against the law. So, the dispute between the government and the People’s Army of today must be stopped as soon as possible because it will be a great threat for the ordinary Filipinos and the Philippine stability when the conflict between them will become worse. Military weapons and killings could not be the medium that will help us to get rid of disputes and rebellions but the right one is to hold a innate forum without anyone getting hurt so that peaceful talks will be held for the anticipation that obliteration of wars and conflicts will be achieved. Military weapons symbolize liberty as others says but liberty for me should be reaped by peace with unity among mankind rather than wars/conflicts not for the hope that the Philippines will stand above all nations.

Thirdly, the Filipinos are divided into factions. Each of the factions has its own principle, which they are fighting for or seeing through. Like the rallyists, they are always against with the government that they usually want to abolish an order, policy or law that the politicians implement and in addition to it, the rallyists are also aware with the overthrow of the head of our state that they really wanted to pursue a present president who is irresponsible and not a worthwhile leader upon his/her followers.

As a conclusion, our beloved nation needs a call to action. “A call to action from the fragments of unity.” We, Filipinos must unite with each other and together we will stand to reach our desired goal that is to prove once again that the Philippines is still the one and only, “Pearl of the Orient Seas.” We should assume a better nation than ever be that is, a nation that is ecomically rich both in terms of natural and human resources. Another is, be the citizens who are fruitful and productive enough that will soon rise up over a sinking economy of ours.
